Final Project

I had 2 choices that I really liked for my project which were the swim montage video, and the animating a painting. In discussion we threw around new ways to do that painting, but I'm not sure how much time I would have to do it if I filmed myself actually painting one of his works, and I think it would take from the concept I initially had, so I started doing the swimming project over the weekend. This is going to a be a video, that has re-edits, and is like the montage project because I;m trying to portray the emotions that someone feels from either watching swimming, or being the swimmer before and during the race.

My plan:

I already got together videos of you tube that I imported to iMovie and started to take apart

During this week I am going to look for music that I think will build up energy, and nervousness

I have video from when I swam on a tape at home, which I was thinking I could somehow convert and maybe incorporate it into my video, so I'm going to bring that home after Thanksgiving and see what I can do with that.

I am organizing my video now, it starts off with showing the swimmers before the race, then goes into the start, then the races, and after them. I broke up the before and the starts from the videos I have, I just need to place them together and make it flow better, which I will do over break.

Then when we come back just work on taking out the things I don't need and improving how the music fits with what's playing.

Animating a Painting

Video Log

Black Screen to McCain - Cut - Host speaking about Obama's opinion of McCain being president.

McCain to Host - Fade / Wipe - Host asking McCain what the difference is between his campaign and Bush's

Host to McCain - Cut - McCain explains what is different between his campaign and Bush's

McCain to Host - Cut - Tells McCain there was a poll that 68% of America disapproved of Bush's time in office, and if he agrees.

Host to McCain - Cut - McCain responds that he doesn't disapprove of all of the things Bush did while in office.

McCain to Host - Cut - Host says that it sounds like McCain disapproves of Bush's terms then approves.

Host to McCain - Cut - McCain restates he thinks that Bush mishandled the budget, and that he thinks that he is a good person.

McCain to Clock - Fade - Fading out talking about his opinion of Bush.

This is trying to sell the idea that John McCain would be a good president, and would not be a repeat of George Bush.  It uses Q&A and emphasizes most on the candidate rather then the two people talking.

Assignment #1

My recordings for my assignment were about the emotions I had throughout the day. I always get told that I switch from one mood to the next all the time, and I totally agree, so I thought it would be a god idea to track my emotions and what i was doing or what caused them at the time. I think that at home being around my friends and family I tend to have more of these "mood swings," from what I found from my documentation. I notice I'm happy, excited, stressed, and annoyed a lot, but it doesn't switch as dramatically as I thought, which is a good thing. I presented my information in a web/chart because I thought it would be the easiest way to show how many times a day I would feel a certain way. I have the emotion, then i have what caused me to feel that way each time above it.
